I’d rather have Putin’s FSB in charge of our national security, that’s how bad it’s gotten. Could Russia do any more damage than this administration has?

I’ve had a few clearances as has my dad and husband. The key is if you actually work in DCAS or the like. They can take a long time just to grant you clearance after application for any level. Not to mention all the questions just for a renewal. I don’t think it’s just being a citizen.

EXACTLY!

I just gave this opinion last week on some other topic.

Not to mention our stupid governors taking initiative to lower flags all the time too.

Asinine.

It is both victim hood and giving far too much importance to events that really don’t have to do with difficulty for the nation.

Ever since Sept 11.

“Good grief..watching the presser and it would appear that lesbians now rule every ‘orifice’ of government now. WTH?”

My wife, who doesn’t like to watch the MSM mangle happenings like this, thought that I was over reacting with similar comments re lesbos ruling every orifice in DC.

Then, Fox showed a he/she/it FBI person, I think, with short black hair and different voice.

I asked my wife to tell me what sex the thing on tv was.

She watched and listened for a minute, rolled her eyes and said, “You are probably right on that one!”

I can only assume that if they do any checking at all, they find that the person in question is either a black or a Muslim—or both—and give him a free pass.

We know that happened with Nidal Hassan, who had all sorts of questionable activities in his known army records, but was excused because they wanted to have more Muslims in key positions.

I would presume that in the present case, they knew the Navy shooter was black, and that was all that counted.

Affirmative action of the worst kind.

The US government can’t screen out a psycho with anger issues and a history of gun related arrests but his past is uncovered in a couple of hours by those on the internet. Government = incompetence.

And John and Mitch think turning over our nation's health care system to the same people in two weeks is just peachy keen.

Uh...do you think they actually do interview friends and relations now, and even if they do, is the information used for anything at all?

I submit that the answers are possibly/maybe/no, and an unequivocal, emphatic NO.

When I was in the Navy, the process these folks now apparently follow is called “gundecking”.

I’m beginning to doubt the competency of the government. What exactly is going on in that town? Is it run by clowns?

Why ? Young foreign women marry old Americans for a green card (and ‘love’) every day by the dozens.

Young foreign men can play that game too.

Could have been a business deal (basically) to get the restaurant going.

That said, I am 14 years my Filipina wife's senior, and it really was love, plus a lot of mutual compatibility. She even visits FR more than I do!

...Asian women often prefer older men... We're 12+ years in to it and going strong. Looking around at the local Fil-Am community, the same seems to be the trend, with only a couple exceptions. That is, the marriages, whatever the original motivations, stay together. There is a strong influence of church and orientation towards family, which helps a lot. Our larger Fil-Am get-togethers (and many of the smaller ones) include prayer.

Ok, I guess that's enough OT for me to post, today!

The process can take a long time if you never had a clearance. Seeing as he was ex navy his clearance would have just been inactive so it takes a shorter time to get it back active.

There is a big push to tighten up the process. A lot of people got granted clearances because of the Iraq and Afghanistan situation. DOD could not wait for years for the clearances to come back.

This story gets bigger and bigger doesn’t it?...the media will always string it out for the sake of the politicians who want to use it...and it sells news.

Bottom line..he’s dead...and saved us the trouble of years of court rangling. End of story.

All else is just “story lines’..and means for the gun regulators to feed the news with gun laws they want to enact....not to mention moving forward more of the Gov. agenda to monitor Americans.... They’re using the medias story to make their appeal..AGAIN..and the media will comply.

You are right about the media. They never ask the important questions anymore...just the ones that might prop up Obama’s agenda.

A Secret clearance is a very low security clearance. The public may deem it high, but it really isn't that hard to get.

Obama, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, and Samantha Power all have TOP SECRET clearances - which require extensive background checks.

Think about that.
