From Fox new.com:

Many who managed to escape in the early minutes of the episode recalled panic and fear after a shooter, described as a tall, African-American man with an AR-15, opened fire.

So it weren't no red necked Texas white boy who was doing the shooting??? Dang, disarms Obama and racists comments.

Here is some specific info on where the shootings took place:

The shooting is reported to have occurred at about 8:20 a.m. on the fourth floor at the headquarters of the Naval Sea Systems Command on Isaac Hull Avenue on the grounds of the historic Navy Yard (Building 197). Building 197 houses the Naval Sea Systems Command.

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the largest of the U.S. Navy’s five “systems commands,” or materiel (military materials and equipment) organizations. NAVSEA consists of four shipyards, nine “warfare centers” (two undersea and seven surface), four major shipbuilding locations and the NAVSEA headquarters, located at the Washington Navy Yard, in Washington D.C.

Washington Navy Yard is about 1.6 miles from the U.S. Capitol.

This is from some advertiser supported paper called the Arlington cardinal. So we have all the lamestream crapheads repeating the same nothing over and over and a very obscure paper scoops them with the precise site of the shooting.

Any Freepers aware of what the 4th deck of NAVSEA does?

NAVSEA moved to the navy yard from Crystal City in the 1990’s as part of a plan to reduce leased space. Of course Crystal City just filled up with other fed offices and contractors.

"When it was over, Alexis, a former Navy reservist from Ft. Worth, Texas, who recently began work as a civilian contractor, lay dead amid an armload of weapons. Sources told News4 that surveillance footage showed that he began his attack with a shotgun, but was found with a 9mm pistol and an AR-15 assault rifle.

Alexis appears to have seized firearms from two of his victims as he moved through the building along the Anacostia River in southeast Washington, where 3,000 Navy employees go to work each day, many of them carrying authorized firearms."
