The Dems think they have the Republicans on the ropes and are on the attack in expectation of a complete defeat. That would be ridiculous except for the Republican leadership not knowing what to do and having a strategy that actually weakens the R party further.
After the 2012 election, the R party needed to clean house and construct a new strategy and leadership team. It is going on a year since the election and the R party has not done these things. The R party doesn’t have a strategy, either, except to discourage the base. They are in serious trouble and their only strength is their opposition. The Dems are certainly overreaching and they have their own problems, not the least of which is a disastrous jobs economy obscured only by an improving stock market.

With Boehner being seen as vulnerable in his district here in Ohio, this seems like Reid throwing a little more gas on the fire perhaps in order to get rid of him. If Boehner loses and Republicans hold the House in 2014, who get the Speakership? Is there motive to Reid’s remarks? There is always motive with Reid. I still can’t believe that Nevada sent Reid back to Congress. Reid reminds me of the Senator in The Godfather 2 that speaks up at the hearing

Yes, I believe there was. That is why I said that he reminds me of the Senator from Godfather 2 who was real nice and cozy with the Corleone family. I could definitely see Reid's election bought off by a Soros group.

And then there was the RINO factor (pissed that Angle won):
How Harry Reid Won Re-Election
Reid collected the support of high-profile Republicans, who viewed him as too influential to lose with the state's economy in turmoil and were reluctant to vote for Angle because of her extremist views.
A moderate Republican "would have had a better chance of defeating Reid," said Republican state Sen. Bill Raggio, who backed Reid. "Their positions were less extreme, more in line with what the majority of Nevadans felt."

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm - - - - - - ?
Sounds like Reid is worried that his bff Boehner might try to get out of the Democrat-feathered nest that Boehner has grown to love.
BTW, is Reid’s “meeting” with Boehner just DC code for a whup-ass session?
Reid need not worry as Boehner loves to lose, bawl his baby-blue eyes out, and wallow in the certain knowledge that he, Boehner, is the very worst Speaker of the US House of Representatives, EVER.
