TRENTON New Jersey's special U.S. Senate election is a little more than a month away, but for whom would you vote if the polls opened today: Cory Booker or Steve Lonegan? A Rutgers-Eagleton poll released today shows Booker, the Democratic mayor of Newark, leading Lonegan, the Republican candidate and a former Bogota mayor, by 35 points 64 percent to 29 percent heading into the Oct. 16 election. The two are running to fill the final 14 months of the term left vacant by the death of U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg.

How could anyboyd vote for the Obama mini-me.
Lonegan all the way!
My New Jersey neighbors are, unfortunately, moron enough to choose a budding Marxist over an admittedly less-than-attractive conservative. Then they’ll whine and bitch about the results.
Numbers are almost exactly reversed in this poll vs the Rutgers-Eagleton poll. Either the R/E poll was unfairly skewed, or we Freepers have blown the nj.com poll out of the water.
I’m confused. It says Booker is way ahead, LOL.
Democrat Cory Booker, the mayor of Newark 31.69% (651 votes)
Republican Steve Lonegan, the former mayor of Bogota 60.76% (1,248 votes)
Neither. I’d vote for someone else. 7.55% (155 votes)
Total Votes: 2,054
I would vote for the Negro because the one in the White House is doing a BANG UP job.
Lonegan was in the lead 50-33 when I posted this Freep-a-poll thread.
I just voted. Lonegan is ahead 62 percent.
The comments are quite interesting if you slog though them
