Hoyer needs to cover his sorry ass, because as the Dem whip he couldn’t even bring his own party’s votes in.

According to the members of Congress, Obama does not need their approval to do anything. All he needs is the desire to do it.

I’ve come to the realization that a great number of American politicians have no core values, they are for their team (party) regardless of the morality of an issue. I’m pretty sure they would have made great Nazis back in the 30’s.

Then go ahead and attack them. When russia and china get dragged into this and the nuclear weapons start getting thrown around, that fever swamp on Potomac and all the parasites working there get nuked first.

That is why they need to vote now. Let this idiot then go ahead with the strike after the House has voted it down. If they do not vote they are just endorsing Obama helping al Qaeda.

Hoyer, Reid: “More generally, Obama doesn’t need approval for anything.” “He’s the President. Congress is there to advise and consent.”

What congress, we don't need no stinkin' congress...

Obama can do nothing because they signed on to the UN deal. He would have to wait at least a month..

The greatest danger here is that Putin, having taken the measure of Obama, and having found him a coward and a fool, will go too far when Obama orders air strikes against Syria.
(air strikes are coming)
I hope that Putin realizes that Obama is unstable and not entirely sane. Putin should not push too hard or the Rodeo Clown will unravel.
If Putin deploys Russian troops to Syria to protect against further air strikes an unhinged Obama might do the unthinkable and take some of them out.
Next could come the Russian sinking of a U.S. ship...after that, who can say?

so, a single man can decide to order bombing and missile strikes by a nuclear capable force for any reason he decides and can rationalize to himself, including salvaging his pride or covering a goof up
sure Steny
the Russians and Chinese, well, they just don’t get our Constitution or how a republic works
so let’s let professor obama school them while you hold his purse
