The PC crowd is lamenting Putin’s jihadophobia.

On FNC a couple of days ago, Judith Miller said Putin don’t want the Jihadis taking over Syria

Not the desire for warm-water ports that’s preoccupied Russian leaders for centuries?

Its really scary. Putin makes a point about political Islam that the average American understands and agrees. If a legitimate poll were taken today an embarassing percentage of Americans would rate the President of Russia a more effective leader than the current President of the United States.

The difference is that Barry thinks the jihadis are his friends. The other difference is that, like him or not, Putin cares about the interests of his country. Barry, assuming he considers his country to be the US, does not.

In the ongoing fight against Islamic militancy in the form of jihadists that threaten the world, the U.S. and Russia are going to be partners, even if that partnership is tenuous and superficial. The question is whether Russia or the U.S. will be leading the fight. Today, with Obama in the presidency, it appears as if Russia is leading while Obama follows, all the while pretending that Putin’s diplomacy approach to Assad’s chemical weapons was really his (Obama’s) idea. Sure it was.

The fact that Putin fears what jihadis would do to his country puts him way out in front of Obama.

Either he is smarter than Obama or Obama is really a pro-muslim traitor as many of us believe.

Or more likely, both.

Very understandable and appropriate. Why doesn’t our government abhor jihad, instead of helping it?

I still think that this fear of Jihad has something to do with Putins’ recent cultivation of Christianity within Russia. He knows that a robust Catholic church is the best defense against Islam (and queers), and hence is in the best interests of Russia.
