And of course, the best reason "Futurama" is the greatest...
is I am still alive and still President!

We’re whalers on the moon,
We carry a harpoon.
But there ain’t no whales
So we tell tall tales
And sing our whaling tune.

Love Futurama. Off teleprompter now. Popular science magazine of old monthly Gasoline Alley? Model Garage, Gus Wilson’s problem solving skill and shop entourage interaction was a real pleasure to read and instructional too. Miss the good old days in more ways thanONE

The few episodes I’ve seen of this cartoon are okay in a quirky, benign sort of way. It’s certainly easier to wacth Futurama than some of the other new cartoons. Adult Swim, for instance, has some very dark, rough, mean adventures. If I visit somebody and they’re watching Adult Swim, I usually end of leaving the room or ignoring it after a short while. Even The Family Guy has it’s moments of perversion and meanness. I suppose that is what sells these days.

Have to admit - i’ve watched only two shows. BUT your posts here the reason I started watching! Don’t stop.

The original run of futurama was awesome. The newer ones seem to have lost something.

I honestly think I have watched every episode made and aired. It is/was a show with some very good innuendo, wit and sometimes blatant dialogue that provided a commentary of current style, environs and issues taken to the extreme 2000 years later. I am going to miss it.

It's not that is was the best, it's more that there were no other good future shows.
I liked it a lot and I love sci-fi but I'm starving for good shows so this one had to do.
It's more irreverent comedy than hard science fiction.
Most future shows are set only decades or a few hundred years from now, Futurama boldly took it forward a thousand years.

Loved the first run, but it lost quite a bit when it came back years later.
There were a couple of good epis, but they did a horrible job on their initial Christmas return.
