“Seriously? Last election the Tea Party got the Republican nomination for Dan (Mr. 10%) Maes and Ken (Mr. Gaffe) Buck, who both lost very winnable seats. The Tea Party is very prominent in the Colorado GOP.”

Do not forget that the CO GOP nominated a person who had even less credentials and IQ than the Obamadork for gov. They turned down one of the few honest and intellectual real Republicans - Tom Tancredo...and they lost their RINOshorts.

The Colorado GOP headquarters is located just below your septic tank.

Huh? Tom Tancredo did not run in the Republican primary in 2010. Dan Maes was the Tea Party candidate who defeated the establishment candidate, Scott McInnis. The Tea Party, however, as is often the case, did not vet Maes. He turned out to be a loser in need of a job who made up stories about being an undercover cop in Kansas.

When Maes imploded but refused to resign from the ticket, Tancredo got a minor party nomination and finished respectably but with Maes still getting 10% of the vote, Tom couldn't pull off an upset. The establishment Party did not cause this fiasco.

I am 100% with the Tea Party on the issues, but they need to start vetting their candidates and stop foisting candidates on us with foot in mouth disease or as in Maes, downright weird. I am encouraged by the fact that both Republican candidates in last night's recall elections had solid credentials and were very electable.
