White House and State Department officials said they are open to Russia's proposal to place Syrian chemical weapons under international control and then destroy them, even though they are skeptical about the Syrians' sincerity.
"We'd have to take a hard look. Any transfer of chemical weapons to international control would be a positive development," Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes told MSNBC on Monday. He quickly added, though, that the White House was "skeptical" of the seriousness of the offer.

O and K are the losers anyway. If they would present this plan few weeks ago it may be working to their advantage. Something like “... we want peaceful solution, give up your chemical weapons or else...”. Now it is going in reverse order.
It is NOT intervening in Syria that's the issue here. The issue is OBAMA'S HANDLING OF IT by seriously jeopardizing and compromising all of our ships, aircraft and troops by publicizing our every move and INTENT ahead of time!!!
0bama should be TRANSPARENT about Benghazi, IRS, etc., but he is SECRETIVE. 0bama should be SECRETIVE about our military goals, strategy and tactics, but he is TRANSPARENT.
Benghazi happened because DEMOCRATS SUCK at defense matters and military action. "Loose lips sink ships" is something the Democrats will NEVER learn and they cost us lives and equipment in the process.
