The U.S. State Department denies a claim by an official who says he has been punished for speaking about a fatal attack on a U.S. million in Benghazi, Libya.
In an appearance Sunday on ABC's "This Week," former Deputy Chief of Mission in Libya Gregory Hicks said he feels punished by the State Department for speaking out about the Sept. 11, 2012, attack, in which U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other U.S. citizens were killed.
"I feel that I have been punished. I don't know why I was punished. I don't know why I was shunted aside. Put in a closet if you will," he said.
The State Department sent a statement to ABC denying that Hicks was punished.
"The State Department has not punished Mr. Hicks in any way. We appreciate his exemplary service on the evening of September 11. His departure from Libya was entirely unrelated to any statements he may have made relating to the attack in Benghazi, and we are working with him on his next permanent assignment," the statement reads.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
they are playing the same old word games
it is really punishment but we call “placement in a new permanent position.”
pretty clever, huh! (ABC bought it hook line and sinker)
I don’t know why I was punished. I don’t know why I was shunted aside. Put in a closet if you will,” he said.
Stop with the all innocent act.
Of course he knows why he was punished.
He feels he was punished for speaking out.
The Syrian war will cloud the Benghazi questions,
just as the planned attack on Iran will bury the Syrian issues.
No rumor is true until the government denies it.
Foggy Bottom wouldnt know the truth if it bit em in the arse!
“...we are working with him on his next permanent assignment...”

If the plutocrats are lucky, world war three will cause all these issues to evaporate into thin air, and they can climb out of their bunkers and dance around their mounds of gold.
FWIW, the interview with Gregory Hicks is impressive. I get the feeling that he wasn’t going to let the four who were killed be forgotten. Nor was he going to let the story stand that none of them could’ve been saved.
The State Dept. that supported the "Youtube video" lie?
The State Dept. that intimidated witnesses before they testified before Congress?
The State Dept. that has been keeping Benghazi survivors hidden away from the press and from Congress?
The State Dept. that redacts documents to the point of uselessness?

Stop Hillary PAC has organized an online Remember 9/11/12: Anniversary Card to Hillary Clinton holding her accountable for her actions and inactions in Benghazi.
I signed it about an hour ago. Thanks for posting the link again. Everyone should put their John Hancock on it.
The State Department has not punished Mr. Hicks in any way.
—they farmed it out to some company, which made a formal recommendation that DOS *followed.
We appreciate his exemplary service on the evening of September 11.
—DOS considers his service an ideal example of WHAT? How NOT to do the job?
His departure from Libya was entirely unrelated
—his DEPARTURE was not related to his current professional doldrums, but his Congressional statements ARE related, right?
to any statements he may have made relating to the attack in Benghazi, and we are working with him on his next permanent assignment,” the statement reads.
—yeah, you’re negotiating with him about him getting money to shut-up, which will BE his next permanent assignment.
MANY, MANY WAYS TO ISSUE A *NON-LIE* RESPONSE TO THIS ONE.
Any believers of anything the Regime says?
The only burying issues is if we let them, IMO.
The lies and liars continue.
(They lie! They are professional liars...and they've lied to all of us before.)
Benghazi is one of a number of scandals that lead to impeachment they will pull out all the stops disobey law and even kill if necessary. If the dear leader is impeached it costs them votes/campaign money they can’t afford to lose any more.
