Does anybody remember what it means to be American anymore?

I ask myself that every morning when I read the news, then I look out my front door and this is still Texas where I live. But again, I live in the middle of the Big Nothing, between Lubbock and Ft. Worth. hee hee hee

It’s still America here in northern Alabama, and I suspect this is the case when you get outside of most cities.
