Lancy,
First I want to apologize for my crude comment to you. I let my emotions run rampant on the keyboard. I was convicted this morning about my statement to you and have asked forgivness from Yahweh and now ask yours. I have a grandson with downs and was brought to tears several times as we could not get him to stop slamming his forhead on our tile floor. He has since stopped doing that and is one of the most loving 6 year olds you could ever hope to meet. My anger at you was prompted by my love for my grandson and viewing your words as an attack on him personally. I know it was not. So, in closing, please forgive me for my vulgar post to you.
Monte
Thank you for your kind reply.
I, too, am a grandfather. During the course of raising my children, including two sons, I coached at least 20 baseball teams (in-house, travel, and fall ball) and from time to time saw perfectly healthy boys running roughshod over parents (and everybody else) due, in my opinion, to lazy parenting and a lack of discipline.
I never should have described these undisciplined boys as “head bangers” and I see why that would have set you off. Again, my apologies. My presumptions also turned out to be woefully inaccurate with regard to the story that was the basis for this thread. Boy, did I ever stick my foot in my mouth.
FRegards,
LH
