Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie, who once participated in a 1960s anti-Vietnam War rally where a U.S. soldier was hung in effigy, has dropped the ball on getting Veterans Administration mortgages in Hawaii.
This is happening because water coming from catchment water systems was deemed non-potable by a state bureaucrat in 2011, and veterans whose homes have such a system or who want to buy a home with such a system cannot get VA loans. Abercrombie has had the power to change this since 2011 but has refused to do so.

IMO Hawaii is a rogue state. They certified Obama with absolutely no evidence he was born there . They cannot say what hospital and no one remembers the birth.
That picture reminds me of a great Letterman "Top Ten List" called "Top Ten Pickup Lines of Fidel Castro"....one of them was "would you like to check my beard for ticks?"
But on a more serious note....*our* Governor is a BFF of Osama Obama himself thanks to the fact that they were "community organizers" together in Chicago.And there's even talk of *ours* being Presidential material.
And yes,it goes without saying...*our* Governor is "of color" (in case you had any doubt).
a weird thing happened out here and it was somewhat reverse racist based . Back in the days of Republic and Territory all the power brokers , all those that brought business , commerce , agriculture and development of all kinds to the islands , along with all the waves of various immigrants were all white Republican males . Well , as time went by the immigrant population of now residents grew in numbers and simmering resentments ; of the power ,wealth and control of ‘the rich haole ‘ ( white folks) Finally WW2 saw large numbers of young Neisei , the sons and grandsons of the original Japanese agricultural immigrants go off to serve in Europe. To ‘prove’ the loyalty to their country and remove the stigma of ‘being Japanese ‘ . Well they did so well in combat ( Italy and southern France ,that they returned as the unquestionable heroes of that dramatic time . They also returned with a chip on their shoulder and soon made a plan to overwhelm and seize political power from the white haole republicans , as DEMOCRATS . They succeeded and things have never been the same since . Thousands of Japanese-America mid level bureaucrats followed on their coattails , and until today they make up the great majority of State and Federal workers , teachers , and union controllers . Although on the Mainland the Dem Party as turned into the party of socialist subversion , out here they try to remain anchored in ‘the good old days ‘ , and as a result they are rats going down with the ship , unaware, or unwilling to admit , that the ship ( our country) is sinking rapidly . The ethic japanese element and influence has become mitigated slightly , but still the D Party has become entrenched as a metastasized cancer . They elected this mainland haole nitwit , Abercommie , over a nearly pure Hawaiian man of sterling character and patriotic nature . So yes, it’s a ball of worms . Add to that a veteran and patriot community that is , by&large , so lulled by polynesian paralysis that they hardly get stirred up or ‘take action’ about anything . Perhaps this issue will light a fire under a whole lot of butts . But I ain’t holdin my breathe ....
