Bloomberg is correct. De Blasio is using his black wife and mixed children to appeal to black voters because de Blasio is aware that black people are extremely tribal and will almost always support a black Lib or a white Lib with black connections like de Blasio over a run-of-the-mill white Lib with no black connections.
That’s like saying the Romney used his kids to appeal to white voters.
As for “tribal”, that describes a lot of white people as well.
