The Bush Burden (NYT Rant: Syria situation is Bush's Fault -- really!)
New York Fishwrap ^ | 9/6/13 | Egan

"...Blame Bush? Of course, President Obama has to lead; it’s his superpower now, his armies to move, his stage. But the prior president gave every world leader, every member of Congress a reason to keep the dogs of war on a leash. The isolationists in the Republican Party are a direct result of the Bush foreign policy. A war-weary public that can turn an eye from children being gassed — or express doubt that it happened — is another poisoned fruit of the Bush years. And for the nearly 200 members of both houses of Congress who voted on the Iraq war in 2002 and are still in office and facing a vote this month, Bush shadows them like Scrooge’s ghost..."

Little comment needed here. Liberalism is a form of narcissistic psychosis, impervious to any facts or reason, and always resulting in death and poverty.

Bambi has given his marching orders, blame Bush. The Lizard King Carville pulled the same crap on BOR Wed. I emailed BOR and tore him a new one for letting him get away with it.

Liberals are insane.
It is almost funny to watch them tie themselves in knots, so as to not blame obama for obama, and force obama on GW Bush

Oh spare me.

Obama has to be president now no matter what excuse his sycophants can dream up.

He’s been in office five years, it’s time he took responsibility for being president.

If “Bush” keeps us from going to war against Syria, it’s a GOOD thing, as Martha would say ...

I know there are some anti-Sarah people on the party line, but a President Palin would lead and take responsibility for her statements, decisions, and actions. And (see my tag) a 13 y/o President Sarah M. would do so as well.

I’m surprised some of them don’t blame it on George Washington.

*********************************************

Hey, lets worry about the American children killing and being killed in Chicago and other cities in America, FIRST. When he addresses that major American problem and fixes it I might be open to his gassbagging remarks about other countries children. Until then he is nothing but a community organizer trying to be president and FAILING on the American and world stage.

It’s always for the children except if they want to kill them in the womb. They don’t even mind killing them if they survive a botched abortion.

This image was used back in 1992 to guilt us into Somalia. After the Blackhawk Down debacle we never heard about those children again.

Syria is a punishment.

You mean kind of like Pearl Harbor was just a punishment of the US, for what Japan saw as imperialistic encroachment?

IF the public is “war weary” fron “the Bush years” it is directly because of the Left creating that exact message/meme and promulagting it 24/7

There is a grain of truth in this, but not for the reason that the Slimes puts forward.

Knowing that Saddam's chemical weapons stockpiles were moved to Syria, W would have entirely justified in *not* stopping at the Syria-Iraq border in 2003 in pursuit of them. We could have (and in hindsight probably should have) removed Assad in 2003, right after we finished with Saddam. This would have had the added benefit of denying the Iraqi 'insurgents' a safe haven to stage guerilla warfare against our forces.

But, alas, that train left the station 10 years ago.
