The Justice Department announced Wednesday it is requiring the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide benefits to same-sex spouses of military veterans.
The DOJ said in a letter to congressional lawmakers it will no longer enforce a section in the VA’s authorization law which classified marriage as between a man and a woman, meaning the federal benefits will be available to homosexual married couples as well.

Perhaps they could just stop enforcing all laws. I wish they’d start with the one that keeps individual states from leaving what remains of a once-proud Union.
Being treated at the VA takes a while. This sure isn’t going to help.

Holder is an arrogant lying, racist, hate filled communist who abuses his power to pursue a personal racist agenda.
Holder is the crooked POS that said from the day he became Att Gen he would not enforce DOMA. His boss told him to ignore the law. Instead of Obozo being impeached for blatantly refusing to enforce a United States Federal statute, the republicans rolled over for him like a dog in heat. The SOB and his equally worthless anti-American crooked Att Gen are racist to the core and anti-American to the core, and republicans in power kiss their azz left and right and do nothing at all about their abuses of power. We mght as well be living in a banana republic under some tin horn general. We are not a nation of laws any longer. We are an immoral rogue nation with laws that are ignored by the criminals in power.
Waiting in line longer will not be the only problem. Now the VA will have to gear up to treat a whole new slew of diseases. They will also have to deal with requests for hormone therapy, sex change operations, breast augmentations etc.
This has been a great year for libertarians, the ending of discrimination against homosexuals by the feds, gay immigration, gay military, the ending of discrimination against females in the military.

They already perform these procedures. At least hormone therapy. There was a female vet I knew a few years back that was getting hormone’s injections to try and turn her into a man. Courtesy of our tax dollars.
Sheesh. I didn’t know that. I have to wait three months to see a VA urologist because someone is getting an addadicktome?
I just thought of something. Why will the VA provide benefits to same sex couples but my wife doesn’t get benefits?
