HUNDREDS of skiers are stuck on New Zealand's Mt. Hutt after freak weather forced its closure.

My wife and I god stuck at Grand Targhee one anniversary.
Three feet of fresh powder in the parking lot.
All roads closed.
We had Bloody Mary’s and a wonderful breakfast.
Hit the slopes at 12:45, our first chair lift ride we expected to be let out at the 1/2 way point as the ski patrol was blasting drifts. As we approached the 1/2 way point, the Lift Operator said: ‘They just opened the top of the mountain! You’re first chair!’
That was a fun day of skiing!

LOL that reminds me of a true story. I was skiing in a Sierra storm and met a guy from down under who was also a "powder nazi". We made a couple of runs as I showed him some of my favorite routes for untracked snow. We decided to hit the lodge and grab a beer.
We shook the snow off and when the barkeep came over I decided to be cool and order us a pitcher. When I did my new friend looked at the bartender and said, "That sounds good. I'll have one too!"
We know what happened the last time Jabba trapped somebody in ice!

Only for the skiers on the mountain!

The population of New Zealand will probably increase a bit.
Being stuck in a ski lodge is not the worst thing that could happen to a bunch of people, as long as there’s heat, food, and toilet paper.
