Israel and the U.S. carried out a missile test in the Mediterranean sea on Tuesday, Israel's Defense Ministry said in a statement, amid rising tensions in the region over the crisis in Syria.
The confirmation came after morning reports indicated that Russia had detected two ballistic "objects" launched toward the eastern Mediterranean from the central part of the same and a U.S. denial that its navy had been involved.
The Arrow III missle defense system was tested with a "sparrow" missle, which simulates a ballistic missle, and is launched from a plane, during the exercise.

I heard Ted Cruz on the radio this morning talking about how Obama said that international norms had been defied.
But Cruz responded to what Obama said by saying that it isn’t the job of the U.S. to police the world, do the U.N.’s bidding, or enforce any interntaional norm from the U.N. ... or whatever...something to that effect.

I remember how the USA got punished with high inflation and other economic problems when we had Jimmy Carter as president and Carter always tried to throw Israel under the bus. I know with BO as el presidente, we are getting penalized again through different means such as an incredulous national debt. God help us when BO leaves office !

The US may have had the area blanketed with electronic warfare aircraft with the express purpose of monitoring their reaction.

Around 2:47 fox airs a video clip of a missile being shot off by a muslim and shooting down a Syrian fighter jet and someone in the video yelling “allahu Akbar” . Brian Kilmeade says he has a problem with supporting this and asks McCain about the phrase and McCain just basically says- come on its no different than an American or Christian saying thank God, that’s what they’re saying”.
This really upsets me. Mccain needs to go.

It’s not a wild theory. During the so called Cold War, both sides did things/tests to monitor if the other side was monitoring and what their response was.
It today’s electronic world, anything is possible.
A radar in Krasnodar would have to look across the Black Sea and the Turkish mountains to see that launch, which would seem difficult. Maybe the Russians are operating radars in Syria. Just a thought. You may remember that Johnson was constantly concerned that harming Russians or Chinese in Haiphong could potentially start WW III. I never believed that to be plausible, but Russian Navy interference with the missile launching ships of the U.S. Navy - ...you never know with Putin. No actual ship sinkings, but enough to scare the crap out of POTUS.
The new EWS radar at Amavir isn’t effected by that, supposedly, but the old radar south of it, in Azerbaijan, is, and it will be closing sometime soon.
“—may have the area blanketed-—” Oh, Yeah! The USS Mt Whitney is always in the area and that thing is a regular sea-going Radio Shack. Not to mention but the crew on that thing would have known EXACTLY what was going on in Benghazi.
