U.S. Military Action Against Syria ‘Going to Happen’ Even If Congress Votes Against It...
The Blaze ^ | 31 August, 2013 | Dave Urbanski

Posted on 08/31/2013 9:57:44 PM PDT by Errant

President Obama will carry out military action against Syria even if Congress votes against it, a senior State Department official tells Fox News’ Chief Washington Correspondent James Rosen.

Rosen’s notes concerning the White House’s reported intentions regarding the Syrian crisis were posted on Fox News colleague Greta Van Susteren’s Gretawire site late Saturday afternoon.

Rosen reports that “the president’s decision to seek a congressional debate and vote was a surprise to most if not all of” his national security team members. The state department official who communicated with Rosen added that Obama’s move to seek congressional approval “did not supplant the president’s earlier decision to use force in Syria, only delayed its implementation.”

“That’s going to happen, anyway,” the source told Rosen, which is why Obama’s Rose Garden remarks Saturday included his belief that he possesses the authority to launch strikes even without congressional authorization, Rosen adds.

The White House Saturday sent Congress a draft of a resolution authorizing Obama to use military force against Syria and laying out the administration’s claim that Assad’s regime killed more than 1,000 last week in a chemical weapons attack.

The resolution also says the objective of a U.S. military response would be to “deter, disrupt, prevent and degrade” the regime’s ability to use chemical weapons going forward.

The resolution authorizes Obama to use the military as he determines “necessary and appropriate” to serve that goal. The draft doesn’t lay out a timeline for action but does say only a political settlement can resolve the Syrian crisis.

Iran already has a nuke.
Has for awhile.
Nork “consultants” have been there.
All courtesy of Zero, his big mouth, and his penchant for harming our allies.
Al-qeada is who Assad is fighting.
Best solution for us is to let both blood each other.

And yes, Napoleon Big Ears would do more saber rattling.
“Diplomacy”, threaten and insult our allies, citizens, etc.
Then bloviate to the press about how he was “thwarted by the evil republicans” while a fawning prostitutorial press whorishly laps it up and promotes it as the truth.

Yes? Iran already has a nuke? How do you know that? Did you get that from Debka? When Iran gets a nuke, they will proclaim it to the world...

The same way I knew the Norks had it before they proved it with a test.
And the Norks had help from China.
Guess who Napoleon Big Ears owes lots of favors to.

The GOP is enthusiatic (not a “cave”) for arming al Qaeda
and increasing IRS/NSA surveillance of AMERICANS,
and ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE.

The GOP IS THE IDENTICAL corruption of the DNC.

OK, then that means a whole new ballgame in the world. Iran with a nuke means game over for Western interests and Israel about to attack. The world asks the Israelis to wait and give diplomacy a chance, which is a joke. Yet, the West does nothing especially under the “leadership” of this President. Sanctions will have no effect as in N. Korea. So, when do the Iranians inform us?

When?
Odds are that administration shmucks already know.
As for when will they tell the whole world?
If Assad gets toppled, expect them to flashcook the al-qeada overrunning Damascus.
Otherwise, they try to sneak it into Israel or the U.S. where they would blast either Tel Aviv or DC.
Zero doesn’t care either way.
His goals lie in the same direction.

Nails in the coffin of the GOP have become analogous to Obama drawing red lines. In the first instance, accumulated nails outweigh the coffin...drop the box already. His red line bluster amounts to less than a hustlers street corner palabra.

Fact is, I don’t think you can get all the dems on board with this one. Not as of now, anyway.

I do not think Assad will be toppled. He may control large swaths of Syria while the “rebels” hold their cantons.

So your saying a dirty bomb smuggled in or an actual rocket launched warhead on DC or Tel Aviv?

Israeli INTEL is pretty damn good, you think they could “smuggle” one in?

Obama is rooting for the MB...

Reality check: Plans for building a low-yield nuke can be c found on the internet. Heck the details are in 50-year old encyclopedias. All you need is the weapons grade stuff. If you got nuke plants and centrifuges up and running everywhere, and a few guys that know calculus, You’ve got nukes.

Or allow me to put it another way: Iran is FAR MORE technologically advanced that N.Korea, and we know the norks got’em already.

So, as usual, Obama doubles-down.

Why even have the vote?

This bastard gay muslim communist is bound-and-determined to start World War III.

They would try a lot of things.
They already tried a dirty bomb cargo vessel.
Somali pirates grabbed it first, some died of rad poisoning.
The world press yawned and ignored it.
Plus, with Iran you are dealing with twelver Shi’a.
They believe they can force the twelfth Mahdi to appear.
Interesting reads out there on it.
Posting from my phone at the moment, don’t have anything easily available on hand from this thing.

Eventually one will get through if the “jihadis” are persistent.
Gotta get some sleep, I work third shift zombie crawl.
See you later on.

Side note: recall Clinton talking tough on the Nork nuke program and then suddenly getting quiet, not too long after the norks detonated thier nuke.
Zero talked real big recently about Iran’s nuke program before backing down and shutting up.

Vote no congress. Then when bammy the petulant gets his dictator on and goes ahead, impeach, convict, and imprison his fascist backside. We all know he desperately wants to help his buddies in the Muslim brotherhood. How many highly placed people in his administration have ties to the MB? 6? 8, 9?

This is rare opportunity to take a strategic initiative to defeat Obama and Islamic terrorism. Obama has basically said he’ll do this thing even if congress says NO. If congress says yes, he can point his finger when it goes terribly wrong - his typical mode is to evade personal responsibility. This is the opportunity to clarify things - no more evasion or hiding. Obama isn’t unwittingly implementing a policy that will help al Qaeda - he’s doing so consciously. Patriots like Ted Cruz can make sure that the Republicans stand strong against Obama and party of terror.

Assad needs a top notch PR firm

Obama’s beating on his tiny war drum has actually managed to make both Assad a figure of reluctant sympathy to anyone opposed to al Qaeda, and Putin look good by comparison to western and US leaders

if Obama wanted to spank Assad he needed to do it by mustering diplomacy against him while quietly sending SF into Syria to take out CW weapon stocks - if the Jordanians and Turks wouldn’t use their intelligence and SF to help the US do that, then they are part of the problem

but that is too slow and messy for his style

besides the polls are down

the man-boy needs a photo op as “Cinc” sitting in the situation room wearing his nice faux military jacket (the one with the name tag “Barack Obama President”)- watching a fireworks show around Damascus - timed for for the evening news

Yup. I’m beginning to believe that he knows how bad he’s effed up his presidency, so he’s bound and determined to leave a legacy, even a negative one. Problem with this one though, there won’t be anyone left to read about it.
