RIP Pvt. Shorty Belton, WW2, Survivor of the Battle of Okinawa. Murdered by two thugs for a couple of dollars in change.

The one thug claimed Shorty was dealing crack cocaine. Of course elderly crack dealers are ruining the inner cities./sarc

Nobody has yet said which of the Army divisions he served with on Okinawa. This matters because though two of the four were reorganized, each has a division organization.

If his division becomes known, the organization can be contacted, as likely can those he served beside.
