The tabloids have been waiting five years for a Miley "flame out." Yes, back in 2008, all the talk on Miley Cyrus was about her being just a normal 15 year old who took life as it came and left all the agent stuff (of a Disney star's life) up to her parents. How did that turn out?
Five years ago Vanity Fair ran an interview with the star of Disney's hit show Hannah Montana.
With Lindsay Lohan rehabbed and Britney Spears under psychiatric care, the tabs are looking to Cyrus to flame out, or at least do something mildly outrageous.[snip]
"Yeah," she continues. "I guess that's why I'm so adamant about the Britneys and Lindsays and whatever, because I know those people and I know they have good hearts and they're struggling."

In the VF exposé Billy Ray Cyrus posed with his teen daughter Miley for Annie Liebowitz in a semi-pornographic picture. Then, three years later in 2011, while going through a divorce, Billy Ray declared his family had been ripped apart by "Hannah Montana." The country star wished the show that catapulted his daughter to stardom had never happened.

Why the big controversy? Cyrus, Gaga, MTV understand the values and tastes of their audience. The are merely providing entertainment that is expected and profitable. Decadence sells. It is a bit ironic that Cyrus got her start with Disney. However Walt Disney and Annette Fucinello are long dead. So is the America they once knew.
