FORT HOOD – U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan will be executed for the 2009 shooting rampage on post that left 13 people dead and more than 30 wounded.
The jury panel of 13 U.S. Army officers delivered the verdict on post moments before 2 p.m. Wednesday. They deliberated for less than three hours.
Last Friday, the same panel unanimously found Hasan guilty of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder for the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
This sentencing verdict ends the court martial after 17 days. In it, Hasan, who defended himself, never revealed a motive, did not present a defense and refused to cross-examine any of his victims.
Hasan will immediately lose his rank of major and he will stop getting paid in two weeks.
The Army will soon transfer him to the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. to begin serving his sentence.
But an execution is not imminent. Hasan automatically gets an appeal and it has been more than 50 years since the military executed anyone.

As to whether he will actually BE executed, it’s way farther down the road, starting from here and now, than the time it took him to actually come to trial. Depending on who’s in office, the political “cost-effectivess” of it will be weighed and weighed again, and ultimately, Hasan getting fried or injected or being allowed to sit through multiple appeals year after year, will depend on the assessment of whether executing him will bring us more
terrorism, more Islamic enemies world-wide, and other such bogus considerations.My hunch is that he will NEVER be executed, and that he will die in prison of Terminal Jihad.

Just four walls of your cell for the next 40 years. You will receive enough nutrients to keep you alive and conscious. You will receive enough health care to keep you alive. But you will always feel hungry and sick. You will always feel cold. You will watch your body deteriorate and fail little by little, and you will know that there is not a thing you can do about it. At some point your body will be too sick to go on. At that point, you will slip away one night, alone in the dark of your cell. No one will care. You will be cremated and your ashes will be dumped in a place that never sees the sun. And no one will remember you.
Wow, breathtaking speed. Now what’s needed is an expedited carrying out of the sentence as well, as in war, presidential approval not required. Because we are in a de facto war with these animals. The instant Barry attempts to interfere, Hasan should be dragged out in front of a firing squad and be executed on the spot, a military slap across the face of a faux American and his faux presidency. In fact, the Pentagon should remove the jihadi in the White Hut, throw him in jail, a la Morsi. Okay, enough frog words for one day.

I would have sentenced him to life, without access to wheel technology. Let the paraplegic haul himself hand over hand to the toilet each day, or sit in his own filth—his choice.

He will never be executed. For a military person to be executed, the president must sign the execution order. DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE Obama will sign the order to execute one of his muzzie murdering thug brothers? Not likely. Not likely. Even after the appears run through, Obama is likely to be gone and you can bet any dimocrat president WILL NOT sign that order. Never in a million years. Won’t happen.
