At this point, the Republicans probably piss me off on this issue more than the Democrats. The Democrat will tell you that he’s openly in favor of this evil, while the Republican will pander for your vote and then knowingly do jack squat to fight the Democrat. It’s disgusting.
I get the sense that the GOP wants this issue “resolved,” thinking that it’ll be one less issue to worry about when it comes to capturing the votes of those under 40. Too bad at they’re losing their most potentially enthusiastic and organized portions of their base. Idiots.

Martinez would need a sympathetic AG and the Courts to back her. She has neither. The NM Supremes are 100% militant pro-homo anti-Christian leftists.
fieldmarshaldj is correct; in a state where conservative Republicans are hard to find in the major population centers and where the legislature is solidly Democratic as are the judges, there is not much she can do other than speak out as she has about it (marriage is between a man and a woman, not the purview of the courts/clerks to decide this, needs to be put to the voters). She's sticking to economic issues that she has a chance to win in the legislature. However, they continue to deny her requests to repeal driver's licenses for illegals, and the senate has three times refused to confirm her selection as state education secretary [teacher's unions, of course].
