I live in GA as well. North of Atlanta. I left the deck door open and woke up pretty darned cold this morning! It was 60 degrees, like you said.
There have been several unusually cold nights, for August, this summer. And generally not very hot in the day either.
I live in Dahlonega so it is cooler but the overall
trend is to colder weather.
I lived in downtown in the 80s when we had over
thirty days in a row of 100 plus weather.
What a nightmare too hot to sleep.
How did you do that. SE Wisconsin stayed in the 70s overnight
At some point we FReepers in GA need to set rally points for when SHTF/AFOC is nascent.

Its almost 12 noon here in Lawrenceville, GA and only 77 degrees. Unbelievable!
