I remember one time during the Bush administration when Dowd intentionally used ellipsis to turn the President's statement into an absurdity. He said that the members of al Qaeda who had been killed or captured were no longer a problem. She removed the "killed or captured" part to make it appear that President Bush didn't think al Qaeda was a problem. Being a liberal nut case is one thing. Intentionally misquoting someone brings it to a higher level of journalistic dihonesty.
This is just a reminder to anyone talking to the press to have your own audio or video recording of the event. They will lie about what you have said and you will need proof of the truth.

Recording devices these days are small, convenient, and reliable. Any politician who talks to anybody in the scumbag Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms and doesn't self-record the conversation - - or at least make sure there are several friendly witnesses around - - is a moron who is unfit for office.
