If I was NYPD, I’d just handle my calls and go home. If that’s what the people of the city want, than let ‘em have it.

Only thing is, it's the Courts and the thugs that want it, not most of the law-abiding residents.

100% correct, but the law abiding citizens just sit there and do nothing. The activists and their ilk use this to put themselves out there and make a big deal about it. When people start dropping like flies and the crime rate spikes, they’ll shrug their shoulders and point to the cops, not taking any responsibility.

Hmmm, sounds like someone I know, a community activist who takes no responsibility for anything.
