Exactly what business is it of the government as to who belongs to the American Legion or any other private organization? I don’t get this at all. Does the Obama administration want to know where all the veterans are on the day they plan on rounding us all up, or something?
If the Legion or any other organization gets a tax break because they claim to be made up only of veterans then whats the problem?

This has been the practice for awhile and most(?) states require some kind of record while drinking at bar AND require members to have cards in their possession and all guests to be signed in by a MEMBER that is on site, not working.
Maybe DOJ can put a stop to having to have a card to drink at VFW or AL, much like not needing a card to vote.
The problem is that this isn’t what the IRS, or taxes, are for.
