I believe this was the most logical decision. It would have cost the city (taxpayers) more $$$ had Filner refused to go and they had to remove him through the recall process. So while many aren't happy with this decision it will be the least expensive. Of course you know what I would have rather seen happen. :-)

His speech was pathetic, wherein he claimed to be the victim of a political witch hunt. Laughable. But pathetic.

South40, I was listening to KFMB today. They had a lawyer on to analyze all things Filner. Lawyer said he represented a new accuser who would file a lawsuit next week. Lawyer said his client was pissed over Filner’s exit speech and that helped her make the decision on whether to file/not to file. Client is a 30 plus year city employee.

It’s not going to be over for a while.
