Another day, another law disregarded by the Obama camp. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers and representatives from nine other states have signed a letter to the Obama Administration demanding the administration pay up on mineral lease revenues owed to the states under the 1920 Mineral Leasing Act. This nearly century-old contract requires a certain percentage of the royalties collected by the federal government to be returned to the states where the minerals were produced.
The administration now is trying to trim these payments under the guise of sequestration, saying that these royalties are subject to across the board spending cuts at the federal level. Suthers and the other attorneys general have pointed out that these payments are established by statute, and not subject to arbitrary reductions

the Mineral Leasing Act would not be the first law that Obama set out to completely disregard this year.

NOT SO FAST: CO and Nine Other States May Sue Obama Administration for Payment of Mineral Lease Royalties
“The administration now is trying to trim these payments under the guise of sequestration, saying that these royalties are subject to across the board spending cuts at the federal level.”
Funny how that doesn’t apply that to the Obamas.
Just foreclose on some Federal property.
Good chance 0 is still getting profits from wells in Kansas Why would he want to encourage his competition
We did some research a while back. Profit from mineral rights would jive with schedule E of taxes
Here’s what we found

The revenues owed to the mineral-producing states under the Mineral Leasing ACT are not a gift, a handout, or an entitlement but rather are the result of a compromise reached in 1920 that compensation is due to the states for mineral development within their boundaries.
In addition to Colorado, the letter was signed by the top legal officials from Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.

Hi George! Could I join your ping list? Thanks and hope you are well. -Bill
Yes.

The federal givernment should OWN no land.. NONE...
Washington D.C. SHOULD be leased from Virginia...
And the Federal Capitol should revolve between the several States every ten years... one time in Virginia next in Mexifornia.. next in Florida.. like that..
Federal givernment should own zero property..
Would tend to keep federal givernment CREEP at a minimum..
Term limits.. YES... plus limits of terms as well..
Even limits on political pursuits AFTER holding office..
NO RETIREMENT of elected federal political officers..
NO federal givernment workers Unions..
SOmething CAN BE DONE to reign in this MONSTER....
Military should be composed of State Militias..
All Military property owned by the States..
Federal Military liaisons(Joint Chiefs) elected by Staff Officers..
AND their staff vetted and approved by militia committees..
No State land Hi-JAcked by the federal givernment.. NONE..
The federal givernment should be a vassal of the States..
A servant.. a serf... a fully owned and supported slave of the States..
The EXACT opposite in place presently..
Nice try but lawsuits mean nothing to Obama’s cabal of reprobates.
That won’t get the attention of the masses so no pressure will be applied and Owebama won’t be embarrassed for all to see. THAT,my FReeping FRiends is the only thing he responds to, being the narcissist he is.
Those that did made their bed. Now they can lay in it.
Maryland. But I like the rest except the capital being moved around. Too much of a decannual upheaval in the real estate market. But the Feds should own *nothing.* I like that.
Only Colorado and New Mexico voted for Obama. The other 8 states in the suit are Red States.
This is what I was thinking.
