This is an interesting observation. When the Clintons visited the area, when Bill was POTUS, they stayed at a palatial home on East Lake road in neighboring Skaneateles. Obama stays at a Holiday Inn (however, as far as Holiday Inns go, it is one of the better ones).
It might be because neighboring Skaneateles has a very vocal group of conservatives. If you recall, one of the Skaneateles restaurants named its sandwich "The Hillary", because it was mostly baloney.
I don’t remember “The Hillary” sandwich but I do remember the fried chicken place that had the Hillary Special on the menu. It consisted of 2 fat thighs and 2 small breasts or something like that. :)
