I disagree with you that the politicians want to get rid of the A-10. I think the Air Force "fighter mafia" wants to get rid of the A-10. I guess if you include politicians that would gain from a boondoggle aircraft program in their districts, then you would be correct. Hmmmm, makes me wonder. Is any part of the F-35 made in Jack Murtha's old district?
