This is the grief that must never be mentioned advocates of abortion. A substantial fraction of women who have an abortion experience deep and profound grief and a sense of loss from which there is seemingly no escape.
I know, I get the phone calls.
My wife has assisted dozens of young women who struggle with
the sense of loss over the unborn child that they killed. My wife is a follower of the program known as “Save One”, which uses the power of God’s forgiveness to help these women to allow God to carry their guilt and loss.
In some cases, this grief is almost debilitating. It permeates the emotional background of every waking minute. Given that a large fraction of women have had at least one abortion, I cannot imagine the toll it this takes on marriages, the ability to have solid relationships and even on the economy.
Abortion costs more than we could possibly know in many more ways than just the life of the child that will never grow up.
