There may have been other individuals whose views were more in accord with yours, which would help to support your claim that everyone who went to school learned it your way.

But I never claimed that, did I? and quite obviously there were others, because it was you who originally responded to one of them, with your ignorant comment.

That's right. Do you have any evidence that everyone in America actually believes that? If so, please share it, because Jeff Winston certainly doesn't, otherwise he would have posted it.

Now, are you able to provide some evidence to support your contention? Can you provide any sources that indicate that your view was ever the prevailing one?
