From the description of the show, I thought YUCK! Then, I watched a show, and I’m hooked. I love their simple wisdom, logic, humor, love of family, country, and especially God. They close their shows with the family sitting down at the table together, and Phil giving a prayer. I was astounded and hooked. I read that Phil may be leaving the show (hope not), and Alan, the oldest son, taking a larger roll.

Same here. My first was “Great, another “dumb redneck” show.” Being from the South, I take great offense at those. But I got stuck watching a marathon on A&E and I was absolutely hooked, because here were people standing up for my beliefs, proudly.
