It's also the only "modern" (post, say, 1970) TV show for adults that I feel utterly comfortable with my kids watching. Pretty hard to beat solid religious and family values.
It's never about much of anything. No massive socio-political statements. I saw a couple last night....the guys had a donut eating contest at a local establishment. Phil and his wife went and bought a couch.

You are full of it and are putting forth a tendentious falsehood. Late term abortions are not because. Of doctors’ urging. Doctors are obliged to give all information to patients. If the parents are killers, they kill! Only the dregs of the profession become abortionists. Abortion exists to serve the selfishness of MEN. Males. Men without conscience.
No. I’m not full of it. Doctors often push parents carrying a child with problems toward abortion. There are many documented examples.
Little secret: many doctors do selective reductions of multiple pregnancies and many doctors perform abortions of babies with Down syndrome or cleft palate or disfigured or impaired unborn babies. They think they are helping the child not suffer. Believe me, this is true, I know it.
