Sidebars is missing, good thing I had a ping.

Weather here been bootiful for mid-August, life pretty good, going to Disney World on Labor Day.

As always....thank you AB for doing this thread, your prompt pings, your compilation of talking points, And thank you everybody else for being the thoughtful people you all are.

Liberal niece calls me up (well she’s not liberal but she lives with some old guy, liberal as all get out, nice guy but dumb as a box of rocks).

“Bob”, (boyfriend’s name) “caught a couple of boys trying to steal a golf cart. He’d been having trouble with kids taking joy rides so he finally caught a group of them.”

Bob works in golf course.

“And I was so proud of him cause when he showed me pics, the three boys were black. He hadn’t even mentioned that.”

I gave a quiet grunt of acknowledgement but pondered what on earth would have been wrong if he’d have mentioned they were black?

“There are so many, so very many prejudiced people, Aunt Pat...”

At which point I had to stop talking to the child. For once again I was going to hear about rampant prejudice in this country, which there is little....and hear this notion that mentioning someone’s race make you a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

On and on she went about the many really bad people in this country hating blacks....

....liberals....it wouldn’t be so bad if they go down by themselves but they take us down with their own dumb selves.

As for the golf carts, well what the hell, bunch a young kids went on a joy ride in a golf cart, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THEIR SKIN COLOR MAKE? ....to paraphrase Hillary.

Jeez....really dumb dumb man, serious.
