What I resent are the generations of wasted lives who do nothing for a living and who I ‘get’ to help take care of because the government has taught them it is easier to do nothing than it is to work. Food stamps are a huge area of fraud and waste. What I suggested was random drug testing for food stamp recipients. I have had to do such for places where I was gainfully employed. Those who are ungainfully receiving public dollars should have no problem with it. And now that you mention it, why should I ‘have to’ take care of someone else’s children? The Lord loves a cheerful giver, not someone coerced at the end of an IRS audit. I prefer to help people I know, not strangers who may or may not be doing anything decent with the money they receive.
Personally, I’m not against drug testing for food stamps. My main and only concern is that there are probably a host of parents who are users and to shut them off inadvertently affects their children. So, its a no win situation for all concerned.
