Belief in being raptured and being prepared for persecution are not mutually exclusive. In fact, the former provides the latter.

Try that, telling people though, and they go all childish and pretend to be horrified and suddenly incapable of understanding the English language.

Besides, it hurts the sale of survival stuff to entertain such ideas.

Or maybe some people are so far gone they only understand things that are marketed like toilet paper or laundry detergent with cute little animals as part of the marketing effort.

Maybe a cute stuffed demon like the BSD Demon laughing at the "prophecy parade" as it marches past with a banner full of crossed out dates and a prediction of when the Rupture is coming on it while the demon tosses people into an elevator labeled "Hell" would get the point across.
