This is one of those cases that many lawyers would jump on, simply to have an appellate win. It is almost a freebie, especially with the hoops and trips that the judge went through on his decision. And I’d almost bet that the lawyer would cross his fingers that it was held up on appeal, so they could go to the SCOTUS for the smackdown.
Just consider this: If this is held up, every single ruling that has supported the liberals who claim to be a church, Westburo Baptist, is out the window and new claims can immediately be sought. SCOTUS doesn’t want to go anywhere near that stinkpot, and this is going to get overturned.
As for legal fees, I think a certain church is going to find their legal fund properly pumped up and will make it through with no problem.
