You'd think we'd be smart enough to restrain ourselves from having children when there are serious defects. Some just don't understand.

I’m pretty sure if you wait till the child is old enough and ask them, they will not say that they would rather never be born than to be born with some genetic malady.

I’m torn on this issue. If taxpayers are footing the bill for these children then perhaps we should insist on birth control until they are able to afford them. But retarded or not if you are able to financially support a family, have at it.
