You think the government has the right to decide who can/can’t reproduce, live, or die?

YOU are the leftist who will not put limits on the governments power over people.

By the way, just to be clear: are you Michael Bloomberg or Barack Obama?

I just had a sip of water and I didn't file for approval with the government first. Do you want my address so you can send someone over to frisk me?

“So it is their right to produce a moron child that I will then have to support for the rest of its life with my tax dollars?”

Rights are independent of whatever the state chooses to subsidize with tax dollars. If you do not understand that, then you do not really understand the concept of rights.

“Sorry, but your rights end where my wallet begins.”

No, the proper phrase is “your rights end where my rights begin”. Only a violation of someone’s rights can set a boundary on the exercise of others rights. Two retarded people having children has zero impact on you exercising your rights, so there is no argument to be made in that department.

Stop being an idiot. Those are all LEGITIMATE tax expenses. There is nothing in the Constitution that allows the government to take from one person and give it to another, yet I am forced to do it anyway.

No one except my minor children has the “right” to be supported by my labors. If you cannot see that, you are on the wrong web site.

Yet you fight for them to use that as an excuse to castrate your fellow citizens?

Why is that?

“2)No one except my wife and minor children have a right to the contents of my wallet.”

By virtue of your citizenship, you consent to the processes of our government which decides how the tax money is spent, and the lawful outlets for petitioning to change how that money is spent. You have assented, in other words, to the government spending your money in ways that you may not agree with.

If you wish to withdraw that assent, there’s the door, turn in your passport on the way out.

By the same twisted logic I could call for you to be sterilized to avoid having to pay taxes for your children’s schooling.

“YOU are the liberal who will not put limits on people who cannot put limits on themselves.”

Putting government imposed “limits” on people is not conservatism. It’s authoritarianism.

Hardly “unprecedented.” This sort of thing was widely done in many countries - including the US - in the wake of the eugenics movement of the early twentieth century. Liberalism is just returning to its roots.

“When my tax dollars have to pay for retarded children that could have been prevented, then it IS MY BUSINESS!”

Well, unless you pay taxes in the United Kingdom, it’s still none of your damned business.

Wow, the left has really done a number on you. Try reading the Constitution some time. Rights do not come from the government or taxpayers. Check it out.

By your logic, pick any Amendment to the Bill of Rights and if the government decided to fund a government taxpayers in those areas, we would all lose those right? That's a pretty messed up way of thinking, isn't it?

Let me give an example. I don't like that I have to fund NPR. But my argument is, we should just stop funding it. The Bloof of Tyrants argument is: since the government is funding NPR, all people lose their right to free speech!

The left must love you! They just create a government program, and presto! people lose their rights. And the best part is the government is in complete control.

“There is nothing in the Constitution that allows the government to take from one person and give it to another, yet I am forced to do it anyway.”

Then your argument should be with welfare programs and redistribution, not with some retarded people having kids.

It is said (and I believe it to be true) that all rights come with responsibilities. What do you do if an individual is unable to comprehend and effectively assume the responsibilities that come with the exercise of a right?

More likely, those who don’t blindingly trust the state are paranoid, and thus mentally ill. But we’d be disarmed as mentally ill long before sterilization.
New York actually went through the medical records of many residents and confiscated the guns of anyone on anti-anxiety medication.

No, they don’t and my post made no such assertion. You said your wallet trumps their rights, and it doesn’t, and can never do so. Only a right can trump a right.

Their rights to reproduce end where my wallet begins.

**************************

That position could apply to other situations. Your taxes support prisons. Would you say that all prisoners, regardless of the severity of their crimes, should receive the death penalty, rather than have your taxes support them? Or do you believe that prisons should be abolished?

Suppose sterilization failed and a baby was conceived. That does happen, although rarely. Would the right of that child to live end where your wallet begins?

It is not unusual for a mentally defective couple to have a child or children of normal intelligence. Imho, it is very possible that most of those children might test higher if they had been exposed to a richer learning environment at home.

Did you read what I said. When the state enforces AND determines morality we have problems. It is the right of state to enforce it but who determines it? Historically it has been better when we have been guided by God, the ten commandments. We at once time were guided by the constitution but that was even subservient to the rights (and responsibilities) given by God. We were a republic subject to Gods laws and guidance.

I will repeat it is very dangerous when the state determines morality AND enforces it. Today it is moral to stick you penis up another mans ass. It is moral to kill with abortion, etc.

There is no easy answer here. Your choice is to let the state decide and grow in it’s encroaching power. In the recent past some families may have decided to sterilize or again, things happen and Families, individuals, churches step in to help.

There are very dire consequences of letting the state determinate morality. Be warned.
