On July 20, 2001, one of Scarborough’s aides died after hitting her head on a desk when she fainted while in Scarborough’s Fort Walton Beach, Florida, office.
According to Scarborough, soon after the death, allegations “spread all over the Internet” that he had been involved.
There was however, no evidence of foul play.
