George W. Bush's Daughter: Hillary Should Run

Hillary Clinton has received some encouragement for a 2016 Presidential run from an unexpected source: President George W. Bush’s daughter Barbara, Politico reports.

In an upcoming interview with People magazine, the 31-year old Bush called Clinton “unbelievably accomplished” and said she wants to see the former secretary of state declare her candidacy.

Although she’s in favor of Clinton mounting a campaign, Bush did not go so far as to say she would cast a vote for her.

“I don’t know who she’d be running against,” said Bush, who is politically unaffiliated but has thrown her support behind gay marriage.

Bush’s thoughts on a potential presidential run by Clinton were a sidebar in an interview done mostly to promote her work as the CEO of the nonprofit Global Health Corps., through which she has struck up partnerships with the Clinton Health Access Initiative and Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign.

“We want results,” Bush said.

“We work with people doing great work.”

Two subjects Bush stayed away from: a possible run for the White House by her uncle, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and her dad’s recent heart surgery.

I would like to see Hillary run also. With the coming backlash against the Democrats she would get smashed.

Can we just pack up the entire Bush family and move them off into some nether region of the arctic and forget they ever existed?

Another liberal idiot, like her mother, insulated from reality in America by her family’s wealth. Bob

Hillary is a stalking horse. Taking all the scrutiny off the real candidates.

Ever notice successful democrat candidates seem to come out of nowhere? Sprung on us too late to do any vetting?

Whereas republicans spend years getting bashed before an election.

Nothing the Bush family says would surprise me. They are confused people only concerned about protecting their own station in life.

In other words, good old Barbara is sucking up Clinton Foundation slush fund money and Obama bucks that Bernanke has been printing for his stash and Barbara wants to make sure the wheels don't fall off of her gravy train.

Good point.

At this point in the 2008 presidential election cycle, Barack Obama was unknown to most Americans. At this time in that cycle, we heard the stories about how Hillary was the front runner for 2008, was inevitable, etc.

We’re hearing all of that again now about Hillary. But what is there is another Democrat, as little known as Obama was then, who is going to come out of nowhere?

Heck, even back in the ‘70s, Georgia governor Jimmy Carter was little known nationally when he began the campaign, and won the nomination.

Ditto for Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas, when he ran the first time in ‘92.

How is Hillary incredibly accomplished?

What exactly has Hillary Clinton accomplished?

In 2008, she ran a campaign based on 35 years of experience doing something. But the something was never really spelled out. When Obama’s campaign hit hard on hope and change, Hillary said she had been making change for 35 years. But never really said what change she had worked for.

Hillary Clinton was a Senator because of her husband. New York Democrats were strong armed to clear the path for Hillary because, well, just because. The thought of going back to her home state of Arkansas and running for office there was too much trouble. So they strong armed New York Democrats to give her a Senate seat.

Then she became Secretary of State because, well just because. Her tenure there was hardly noteable. Nor was her Senate career.

Low information voters, who are attuned to electing Democrats, may well elect Hillary. We’ll see.

Those damned Bush women strike again. So far they love open borders, homo marriage, abortion, Obamacare, Hillary, and the Africa. And they dislike Sarah intensely.

Leftist idiots all. Nothing classy about them.
