A 12-year-old girl was killed and her grandmother injured in a shooting in Miami Gardens late Wednesday night.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. in the area of 42nd Ave and 201st Street when a gunman or gunmen opened fire on a home, Miami Gardens Police spokesman Det. Mike Wright said.
According to Wright, officers discovered the girl shot inside the home. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.

With George Zimmerman off his neighborhood watch, see what happens. The police are there to followup on crimes, not to prevent crime. After what happened to Zimmerman, no one will do the job he was trying to do, preventing crimes.
