SACRAMENTO -- Twenty-eight of California's congressional representatives are throwing their weight behind state legislation that would make it harder to deport immigrants who are in the country illegally.
The representatives -- all Democrats, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco -- sent a letter to Gov. Jerry Brown urging him to sign the bill if it reaches his desk.
The bill, known as the Trust Act, "establishes a bright line standard between local law enforcement and federal immigration enforcement" and would "continue California's proud tradition of being a leader on smart and sensible policies," the letter says.
The representatives said unnecessary deportations have "reduced the willingness of immigrant and non-immigrant crime victims and witnesses to cooperate with local law enforcement, and consequently has diminished public safety."

Why doesn’t Obama just give Mexico Caif..we still would have 56 states out of 57
Arizona tried this kind of stuff to throw the illegal aliens out and we ended up being sued by the phonies down at the DOJ. Supposedly, the states aren’t allowed to interfere with the immigration process. If Moon Beam signs this, that bass turd Holder better sue California. He can’t have this both ways.
Now you know why California is in the toilet. Democrats are like the turd that never goes down the pipes, instead remaining on the surface to stink up everything.
If it is illegal, perverted, criminal, or treasonous, the California Democrats are for it.

Who just brought us the school child transgender equity law. Why does a hand full of sycophants who keep electing this pervert have so much control over the State of California?
Now that they have 'Big Sis' running the University system, they might as well just declare the entire state a lunacy zone where anything goes.
Ex-Border Patrol Agents Warn: Politicians Helping Cartels in U.S.
Breitbart News ^ | 7 Aug 2013 | Matthew Boyle / FR Posted by george76
In an open letter to the public in late July, several retired Border Patrol agents wrote on behalf of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers to warn that Mexican drug cartels are actively operating inside the United States spending millions every year to try to build their networks here. They argued that American politicians are protecting their activities as well.
Transnational criminal enterprises have annually invested millions of dollars to create and staff international drug and human smuggling networks inside the US; thus it is no surprise that they continue to accelerate their efforts to get trusted representatives in place as a means to guarantee continued success, the Border Patrol agents wrote.
We must never lose sight of the fact that the United States is the market place for the bulk of transnational criminal businesses engaged in human trafficking and the smuggling, distribution and sale of illegal drugs. Organized crime on this scale we are speaking about cannot exist without political protection. ...
Sanctuary cities established throughout the US discourage even the most basic law enforcement initiatives within their boundaries against these predatory criminals, they wrote. Encouraged by Congress and a disinterested mainstream news media, these havens deny the American public their constitutional right to national security and public safety while providing relative safety for dangerous foreign criminals.
The retired Border Patrol agents called on Congress to abandon efforts to grant amnesty to illegal aliens because passing an amnesty would be akin to abetting the drug cartels.(Excerpt) Read more at breitbart.com ...
