What I don’t understand is why some folks thought Obama was not a natural born citizen but Cruz is. Cruz was born in Canada and Obama claims to be born in the USA.
Some argue that Cruz is a natural born citizen because his mother was a US citizen. Obama’s mother was a US citizen too.

In this Cruz stuff I am bewildered that no one or few take into account or cares that Cruz’s father was a citizen of Cuba, close or not close to Castro. It is as if only the mother’s citizenship matters in a child’s citizenship. In olden days law I believe, could be wrong, it was the father who gave citizenship to the child. In any way Cruz has two issues against him, 1) father’s citizenship and 2) not being born on USA soil. I don’t see him getting a pass for POTUSA unless the Constitution is actually declared null and voided. Of course with a Congress and SC as here is today anything is possible.
