An article I saw last year had some/most of the SEALs working at Benghazi on recovering Libyan government stocks of SA-22 (successor model to the SA-14's fired at airliners in East Africa several years ago, and to the original SA-7's we've heard about before being used in Iraq) MANPADS, of which several thousand had fallen into the hands of MB-aligned Libyan militants of the same stripe as the Libyan hardcore Al-Q'aedists who were notable fighting in Iraq with Adnan al-Zarqawi.
The SA-22's would be, and now are, a major threat throughout the medium term, to civil aviation worldwide. Imagine if Abu Sayyaf got their hands on several dozen in the Philippines. Lovely.
Could shutdown air travel.
Not to mention the huge numbers re: prison breaks, which no one talks about; Knowing Holders firm, the attorneys probably brought them instructions to use them.
