‘Mad Men’ star John Slattery knocks Christine Quinn for mayor over Soho garage By KATE BRIQUELET

Christine Quinn made him one Mad Man.

Silver-maned “Mad Men” star John Slattery is coming out strong against the mayoral front-runner — all because she approved a 10-story sanitation garage in his Soho neighborhood five years ago.

Slattery, 50, and other A-listers spent years campaigning against the city’s $400 million mega-garage on Spring Street near the West Side Highway.

But when they presented an alternative plan at a City Council hearing, Quinn not only refused to consider it, she futzed around with her cellphone as neighbors poured their hearts out, Slattery says.

Wow who would have ever thought a building -erection- would have helped Anthony Weiners campaign.

The old NIMBY phenomenon rears its ugly head . . . not in my back yard

What’s weird is I know exactly the spot they are talking about and there’s basically nothing there. It’s right ON the West side highway in the middle of nowhere with maybe 3 or 4 garbage trucks there at the most at any time, so I don’t know what they are whining about. It’s a total NIMBY situation. There’s one sanitation depot across the street in an old warehouse alongside the Hudson river, which again is in the middle of nowhere, so I don’t know what they are whining about, it’s not like they are dumping tons of garbage there, they never do. They just basically park trucks there, but in the mind of NYC liberals everything must be a shiny bright utopia.

Yawn. The frontrunners are a choice between Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dumber. Attacking Quinn, without supporting a real alternative, leaves the other pervert.

I sure hope Weiner wins, he’ll be the gift that keeps on giving for Drudge, etc.

But I think he’s sucking bilge water in the polls now.
FWIW the primary is Sept 10, if nobody gets 40% there’s a top two runoff on Oct 1.
