Smaller raises, fewer troops

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has for the first time offered details of how today’s budget cuts will affect the military over the next decade…

Hagel is threatening troop cuts to 380,000 active duty troops...no pay raises and freezes on promotions and PCS moves.

Meanwhile we get to hear about the inside details of the $7.6 million estate 44 is vacationing at on Martha’s Vineyard and the other social engineering crap he wants to shove down our throats.

The military at most counts for 20% of the entire Federal budget...yet we’re having to take nearly 50% of all cuts under the sequester. And NONE of the true money wasting projects are even touched!

Where is the outrage? Oh yeah...we’re obsessing over whether this guy can knows that Savannah, Georgia is on the East coast or the Gulf Coast.

This is the problem in a nutshell. It’s not that there aren’t billions that COULD be cut from the DOD budget. But this is the money that is politically protected.

Instead, they stick it to the fighting force.

Brilliant post TX and this is exactly what is going on. The biggest problem is that the budget cuts are being made on purpose to budget items that are really needed instead of cutting fat and waste which is rampant everywhere. Without the driveby media they could never get away with any of this.

Let's hope Limbaugh et all pick up on this and run with it. Probably, the worst part of the entire sequester scam is that it diverts attention from other scandals that truly can ruin the regime from Benghazi to the IRS still targeting tea party groups and now small businesses.
