President Barack Obama took a seat beside Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" Tuesday where he let loose, cracking a few jokes and showing off his comedic chops...

... the watershed late-night TV moment was then -Gov. Bill Clinton’s June 1992 appearance on “Arsenio Hall,” which featured him rocking sunglasses and playing Elvis’ “Heartbreak Hotel” on the saxophone. Down in the polls and with his presidential campaign running out of money, Clinton needed to do something drastic to revamp his image, and came on the show in a bid to get Americans to see how personable he was...

Has Jay Leno experienced any unfortunate consequences of his gutsy performance yet?

As I have said before, ever since Clinton we have been in the age of the celebrity president. The American people don’t want a real president. To them, the election is just another form of American Idol. The president has to be “cool”, and if he (or she) has a few scandals, that just makes him more interesting.

There is no dignity left in the office of president.

Yep. And the media ignore his stupid comments while he’s on his talk show tour. Comments like saying that Charleston, S.C. and Jacksonveille, FL are in the Gulf.

Can you imagine if Palin had said that?

Actually, candidate Nixon was the first to go on comedy TV, with a brief skit on Laugh in in 1968.

Both our first and second black presidents are such low-life weasels.

We sure have lost our ability to judge character.

I could disliked them and could predict their behavior the first time I saw them by looking at their eyes and their smile.

And Fillner!. How could anyone look at him and think he is normal?
